The Single Granules are dried extracts of single substances, to be used by professionals for the preparation of personalized recipes either in loose powder, tablets, or capsules.
They are water extracted and have a concentration ratio of 5:1 (that is, 5 Kg of crude herbs is manufactured to make 1 Kg of finished granules). They can be used for tailor-made preparations and also to modify the Lao Dan ready-to-use formulations either in Soluble Concentrates or Tablets. They are produced in a pharmaceutical factory that complies with the PIC GMP standards certified by the Health Administration auditors of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Considering the high concentration of Lao Dan Single Granules compared with the herbs generally prescribed in the traditional decoctions, it is suggested to divide by 5 the dosage of each herb of the recipes reported by classical and modern literature. If the formulae contain many components, we recommend dividing by 7 – 10; for a single substance recipe, it is advisable to divide by 3.
The granules come in polyethylene containers suitable for food use, net weight 100 g. The packages have an airtight cap and are protected by a plastic seal. The label specifies the Pin Yin name and the international WHO nomenclature, batch number and expiry date.
